Wales Culture Exchange

Wales Culture Exchange - Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences Network brings together people involved in engagement projects in universities, community groups and organisations, museums,  the media, private industry, and public bodies.

The network is free to join and attend, and is open to anyone with an interest in engaging the public.

The main aims of the network are:

·         To offer topical discussion events and to showcase good practise

·         To facilitate innovative cross-partner collaborations and sharing resources

·         To promote research of practical interest and relevance that involves community groups and organisations at every stage of the process

Connecting universities more closely together with community partners can help researchers, policy makers, and the public to consider how research advances will impact and benefit Welsh, and wider communities. Academic experts can improve the quality of their research by working with ‘experts by experience’ outside the academic world as public engagement encounters impact on the ways of thinking about their research.

The network is coordinated by the Beacon for Wales and a planning committee.
